Hi Stancje,
True, we're in a recession (still) and must be budget-wise, but if you purchase premium EVOO less is more on salads, breads, and some dishes in cooking. When a recipe calls for more, such as in baking, try getting a good deal and buy it in bulk from well-known olive oil producers. It's much smarter than using butter or other saturated fats that'll just clog your arteries rather than help you stay heart healthy and so much more. Europeans who follow the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle which includes the liquid gold, have a longer life span than Americans who turn to unhealthy high fat fare. The end result: obesity, heart disease, cancer, diabetes 2, and more.

You got it all right. All good. Olive oil is liquid gold. No doubt about it. It is good for inside and outside of the body. And don't forget your companion animals or baking with the good monounsaturated fat!
